Always Talk to Your Server

Still on vacation(yay!), the group decided to head to an Italian place. I fully expected to end up eating iceberg lettuce and cucumbers after asking three times to make sure there wouldn’t be cheese (or croutons!) on my salad.

Waiter: I can make you any pizza without cheese.

Me: I also can’t have the crust….

Waiter: We have gluten-free. And there’s no dairy.

Me: Promise?

Promise he did, and brought me the GF cheese-less vegan pizza of my dreams, with my favorite toppings: artichoke hearts (“chokes” on the receipt) and black olives.

I may or may not have eaten this whole thing.

The middle was slightly less than crispy. I’m not mad. It was amazing.

The best part? It’s the next day, and I did not got sick. Waiter told the truth. (I almost took his picture after telling him he is my new best friend, but decided maybe he didn’t want to be Internet-famous.)

Moral of the story: Always talk to your server! It’s a tough one for me, I’m a bit on the introvert side. Waiter couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Totally worth it.
